So many people talk about balance and bringing balance into their life. I would agree that balance can be useful in a situation that calls for it. Having balance on a balance beam, walking across a log or climbing a ladder is quite useful. Overall however, I would say that harmony is required in many different situations, including achieving balance. Couples in particular can benefit from having Harmony as one of their relationship goals.
Can you imagine staying balanced on a teeter totter? It would require a lot of work and would defeat the purpose of the ability to move together in unison and in harmony to enjoy the ride. The movement of the teeter totter requires two people to work together from where they are seated in relationship to the fulcrum. The fulcrum by definition is ” a thing that plays a central role in an activity, event or situation”. In the case of the teeter totter and two people, it represents how we can work together through the highs and lows and ups and downs. The ebb and flow of life is much easier to navigate through with movement and flexibility of both people is occurring. Compassion and attentiveness to yourself and your partner allows for harmony to occur.
Harmony is multiple things working together simultaneously. In music, creating chords and chord progressions that have a pleasing effect. In a relationship, the ability to work together in conscious harmony is a beautiful gift that allows each person to experience peace and unconditional love. This can be through honest communication, compassionate decision making, boundary setting, clear expressing and unconditional love.
Thank you for sharing in another present moment experience of our Beautiful world.
